August 29th

Lettuce wraps...just like the ones from P.F. Changs. Yum

August 28th

We attended the 2nd annual Moon Cruise to benefit the Strong Kids campaign for our local YMCA. Ten enormous house boats were the mode of transportation to the event. These yachts were absolutely amazing. After two years of living in Annapolis and meeting people who lived on sailboats, I could never understand why anyone would want to live on a boat. Now I know. I could totally live full time on one of these. Here is the top deck of our 3 story yacht. Behind me were two granite counter top bars and a full dinning table area.

Downstairs, was a state of the art kitchen that was bigger than the one in my house. Below is one of the THREE king size bedrooms.

With three FULL baths.
After a beautiful sunset ride, we arrived at our event destination, the D'monaco Luxury Resort. Honestly, I didn't want to get off the boat. Then, I toured one of the 3 bedroom condos...it was even more amazing than the yacht. We ended up going halfsies on a two night weekend getaway with the Bells. Hey, its all about the kids.

It was quite an amazing night.

August 27th

We spent the afternoon at Silver Dollar City with friends Braxton and Mason. The kids had a blast. Even Mason (two months, not pictured) was a super trooper. It is so nice to enjoy the place now that tourist season is pretty much over.

This is my guy.
He got his braces off today.
Isn't he handsome?
Its times like these when I like to channel Paris Hilton and say "Thats Hot."

August 25th

We came home from lunch with the ladies of BC and Em was so worn out that she couldn't even keep her eyes open during her diaper change. On another note...it may be time to start potty training for the sole reason that she doesn't really fit on the table anymore.

August 24th

More accessories...today we were in to sunglasses.

August 23rd

Being a Stay-At-Home-Mom, I often get asked questions like, "Do you get bored being home all the time?" and "What do you do all day?" In addition to managing our household, keeping up with a 20 month old, and getting myself to yoga three days a week, I don't seem to have any trouble filling up the day. In fact, we are quite busy. I don't know how I ever got things done when I had a paying profession.

August 22nd

You know you want to come and hang out in Em's teepee. Its the coolest. Ever.

August 21st

So much better than Krispy Kreme.

August 20th

Remember all the ice sickles that hang from the rocks around our neighborhood in the winter? Well, this is what hangs from them in the summer. A green mossy goop grows around this continuous drip and continuously grosses me out till frost.

August 19th

One of the best things about having a girl is that they like accessories...today was headband day.

August 18th

I bought these bananas because I need to eat lots of potassium...and because I liked the sticker. It seemed fitting. However, after a week of eating a banana each day I am thinking this is gonna get old quick. Anyone know of another potassium rich food? I'm not a fan of pills and would like to eat food, not supplements.

at the playgroud where the slides, for once,
aren't blazing hot.

August 16th

One of the best parts about eating out is now in my kitchen thanks to a new olive oil store in D's mall. Yum.

August 11th

Today was a better day. Em's fever broke. In fact she is acting as if she feels perfectly fine. The flight home went well. And this little package of vampire love was waiting for me when I got there. Thanks Roz! Love you too!

August 10th

Steroid-3 times a day.
Antibiotic-3 times a day.
Children's acetaminophen- every 4 hours to break a fever of 103.

Convincing a 19month old that she needs to take medicine 10 times a day...hardest thing ever.

August 9th

My baby is sick. She woke up from a nap with a fever and a wheezing cough. Doctor says she has an infection in her lungs. Not a great way to round out the vacation. The good news is that she still has an appetite and is in good spirits.

Sisters!

August 6th

A night out with old friends.

August 5th

Check out the tan lines Emery gets from the crease in her ankle...also check out the fact that she is tanner than her momma. I am thankful that she inherited her daddy's non-sunburning, beautiful olive skin but sad about the fact that my 19 month old can tan better than I can.

August 4th

We arrived to Gigi and Papi's house today. One of the best things about coming here is that Gigi always has a couple new outfits hanging in the closet for Em. This time she got some much needed jammies!

Yes, he voted. No, he did not wear this shirt.

August 2nd

This is Emery's animal puzzle. When you put the correct puzzle piece in place, it makes the sound of that specific animal.

It is also possessed.

Apparently, in addition to being touch sensitive, it is light, heat, and motion sensitive as well. I can be going about my business, doing my daily duties and all of a sudden there is a frog in the room. When we turn out the lights, the mice and guinea pigs come out. Or my personal favorite, in the middle of the night when we are in deep sleep, a big horse throws a party in the living room with a fish in a bowl.

August 1st

"Uh...yeah...its just that we're putting new cover sheets on all TPS reports before they go out now. So...if you could go ahead and try to remember to do that from now on...that'd be great."
